Fonduer, who had just started his junior year at Ferris High School, was a "good kid" who probably was not targeted in the September shooting, friends and family have said.
On Monday, Fonduer's mother Johanna Negron said investigators had notified her that they have arrested suspects in the shooting. The shooting also appeared to stem from a dispute between members of the Crips and Bloods street gangs, she told WPIX 11, quoting law enforcement.
“I just wanted justice for my son,” she told the station.
